China Rooftop Tent OEM Supplier SUNDAY CAMPERS Enhances Production Safety to Deliver Higher-Quality RTT Products for Global Brands

For outdoor enthusiasts, a rooftop tent is more than just gear — it’s a mobile shelter that provides comfort and protection during every journey. Behind that sense of security lies SUNDAY CAMPERS’ unwavering commitment to product quality and workplace safety.

In August, SUNDAY CAMPERS organized a series of hands-on safety drills focused on three major risks in rooftop tent manufacturing: fire incidents, mechanical injuries, and electrical hazards. These practical exercises were designed to strengthen employees’ safety awareness and enhance the company’s emergency response capability — turning practice into prevention.

🔥 Fire Emergency Drill: Building Crisis Awareness Through Practice
The workshop is the heart of rooftop tent production — and also the front line of fire prevention.
During the exercise, a simulated fire scenario was staged, mimicking an accidental ignition during material processing. As smoke began to rise, the on-site inspector promptly triggered the fire alarm, and the broadcasting system immediately issued evacuation instructions.

All employees stopped work at once, covered their noses and mouths with wet towels, and followed the marked escape routes in an orderly and low posture toward the outdoor assembly point. Meanwhile, the emergency response team took quick action — aiming fire extinguishers at the base of the flames and successfully putting out the “fire.”

After the drill, the safety officer conducted an on-site demonstration of various fire extinguishers, explaining the appropriate types and usage methods. This hands-on approach reinforced the concept that “early detection and prompt initial response” are key to minimizing fire risks.

⚙️ Mechanical Safety Drill: Standardized Operations, Zero Compromise on Safety
Rooftop tent production involves multiple types of machinery such as cutting and welding equipment — making mechanical safety an essential focus.
In this simulation, an employee attempted to adjust materials during machine operation, resulting in a “hand injury” scenario. The machine’s sensor system triggered an emergency shutdown, and nearby colleagues immediately pressed the emergency stop button. The incident was reported to the workshop supervisor, and first-aid procedures were performed to treat the “injured” employee.

Following the drill, the technical safety specialist reviewed proper operating standards, highlighting critical procedures: pre-operation checks, safety during operation, and post-operation maintenance. The session emphasized the principle of “no violations, no shortcuts.”

By combining realistic simulation with clear technical instruction, the training not only improved emergency response skills but also reinforced the mindset that “safe operations are the foundation of quality production.”

⚡ Electrical Hazard Drill: Quick Response, Life-Saving Skills
With numerous electrical systems powering production, the risk of electric shock can never be ignored.
The scenario simulated an employee receiving an electric shock due to an aged power cable while connecting a cutting machine. Colleagues immediately shut off the main power supply to prevent further danger. The emergency rescue team arrived swiftly with insulated gloves and a CPR kit, performing resuscitation until the “injured” regained consciousness.

After the exercise, the electrical maintenance team conducted a full inspection of workshop circuits and grounding systems, followed by a “Safe Use of Electricity” training session. Employees practiced CPR techniques and learned the four essential steps of electrical first aid as well as routine inspection points for power tools and wiring.

Through active participation, employees strengthened their understanding that “electrical safety is everyone’s responsibility” and gained valuable, potentially life-saving experience.

🏕️ Safety and Quality — Two Pillars of Every SUNDAY CAMPERS Rooftop Tent
